Data#
General notes#
This report includes all audit activities captured by Power BI. The default view in the report shows only report views, but you can change this with the activity type button and slicer.
All times in this report are UTC.
The App Registration (service principal) used by Argus PBI to authenticate with the Power BI APIs shows up in the activity data. This will appear with a GUID for its ID, an IP of 0.0.0.0, and it will only perform the activities listed below. Note, this is not a complete list of APIs that Argus PBI uses, merely those which appear in the activity events captured by Power BI. We do not modify this data in any way; the details associated with Argus PBI activities are exactly as reported by the Power BI APIs.

Limitations#
The primary purpose of this report is to show tenant-wide report views, but the data include all activity types. If you have a use case for detailed analysis of different activity types, please get in touch and let us know so we can prioritize additional reporting in our backlog.
Activity history begins 30 days prior to your onboarding date with Argus PBI. We store all historical data we capture for future reporting, but we cannot start earlier than this due to Microsoft's 30-day retention period.

Filters#
Activity type button#
These two buttons control whether the page is filtered to its default view ("Report views only") or to multiple activities ("All activity types). The page title will reflect the selection as shown below. If you further filter to only a single activity with the activity slicer, that activity type will be shown in the page title.
Or, after clicking the lower button, "All activity types".
Activity Successful#
This allows you to filter to only successful or unsuccessful activities. This is a drop-down slicer, so you can use the arrow at the right to expand the selection menu.
User#
This allows you to filter to a subset of users whose activity you would like to see. This is a searchable drop-down slicer, so you can use the arrow at the right to expand the selection menu and search for users.
Date#
This slicer restricts the time frame considered for the whole page. This is a relative date slicer so you can use the drop downs and text box to control the time range.
Activity#
This slicer allows you to filter the whole report to specific activity types. This is a searchable slicer. If the activity type button is set to "Report views only", this slicer will display only the "ViewReport" activity type.
Workspace > Dataset > Report#
This slicer allows you to filter the whole report to show activity for specific workspaces, datasets, or reports. This is a searchable and hierarchical slicer. Search will be across all of workspace, dataset, and report names. Some activities are not associated with specific artifacts, and so you will see blank values in this slicer.
